APRIL WARRANT AMNESTY PROGRAM IN EFFECT
Citizens with outstanding warrants may settle them during the month of April through the West Columbia Municipal Court Amnesty Program. Those with outstanding warrants should take advantage of this opportunity to resolve cases without additional penalty or fear of being arrested.
The court is encouraging those with outstanding warrants to take care of them prior to April 30th as they could face incarceration if fines remain unpaid. Officers may serve warrants and make arrests during traffic stops, at an offender's home or place of work.
The Amnesty Program is for Class "C" Misdemeanor offenses only and previously adjudicated criminal cases are not eligible. Payment of original charges will result in the VPTA and/or FTA charges being dismissed with the payment of the required $30 OMNI fee. Contact the court at (979)345-4832 to see if cases are eligible and for payment options.
The court is open Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM and will offer extended hours from 5-7PM on Thursdays during the month of April for those wishing to participate in the Amnesty Program who are unable to appear during normal business hours.
